CORE SUBJECT

Israeli Intrusions

The "Deterrence of Aggression" battle resembles an epic that has broken the political equations in the region.

Syrian Minister of Information Hamza Mustafa stated on Friday evening that the Israeli military intrusions into his country's territory are "provocative."

Mustafa clarified that Damascus "will not go along with what Israel wants." This came in statements to the "Syrian News Channel."

The minister reported that "Israel is trying through military intrusions to provoke the Syrian state."

He added: "We are in a position that does not allow us to go along with what Israel wants through its provocations."

Mustafa emphasized that "Israel's arrogance and power logic blinds its vision."

Despite the fact that the Syrian government has not posed any threat to Tel Aviv, the Israeli army repeatedly intrudes into various areas of the Arab country, conducting airstrikes that have killed civilians and destroyed military sites, vehicles, weapons, and ammunition belonging to the army.

On Friday morning, an Israeli patrol intruded into the village of "Beit Jinn" in the southern Damascus countryside, leading to an armed clash with the locals, resulting in the injury of 6 Israeli soldiers, including 3 officers.

Following that, Tel Aviv launched an aerial aggression on the town in retaliation against its residents who attempted to defend their town.

The Israeli bombardment resulted in the death of 13 people, including women and children, and injured about 25 others, according to the latest figures from the Syrian Ministry of Health.

In another context, Mustafa stated that the "Deterrence of Aggression" battle, which toppled the previous regime, was "more than a battle, more than a liberation operation, and resembles an epic."

He added: "Deterrence of Aggression broke the political equations in the region."

Mustafa explained that "the Syrian people liberated themselves without being linked to any foreign intervention."

On Friday, hundreds of thousands of Syrians took to the squares in several provinces to express their rejection of the division of the country and their support for the option of unity among all components of the people, on the occasion of the first anniversary of the "Deterrence of Aggression" battle.

This came in response to a call from Syrian President Ahmad al-Shara, in a televised speech on Thursday evening, urging his citizens from all categories and components to go out to the squares and fields to express their joy on the anniversary of "Deterrence of Aggression."

The "Deterrence of Aggression" battle is considered the major military operation launched by Syrian opposition factions in late November 2024 in northwestern Syria, aimed at responding to the military escalation of the previous regime and working to expand their areas of control.

On December 8, 2024, Syrian rebels managed to enter the capital Damascus, announcing the overthrow of Bashar al-Assad's regime (2000 - 2024), which he inherited from his father Hafez (1970 - 2000).

During both eras, the Ba'ath regime imposed a suffocating security grip and committed widespread human rights violations, leading Syrians to consider the day of their liberation from his rule a national holiday.
