According to information obtained by the German Press Agency (dpa) from parliamentary group circles following a coalition committee meeting, the coalition seeks to allow the use of "high-efficiency combustion engines" even after 2035.
The coalition is also looking to resolve its disagreement over pensions by aiming for an additional major reform of the old-age insurance system, while maintaining the law that includes keeping the pension level unchanged, according to a draft text attached to the planned pension bill, which was reviewed by the German Press Agency in Berlin.
