Foreign Minister: We Support the Unity of Lebanese Territory and Its Integrity

Dr. Badr Abdel Aty, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration, stated that he is visiting Lebanon under direct instructions from President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to convey a message of full support and solidarity with Lebanon, its leadership, government, and people.

Abdel Aty added in a special interview with "Cairo News" channel, on the sidelines of his visit to Lebanon: "Yesterday, there was an important call between President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and Lebanese President Joseph Aoun, as part of the regular communications that the Egyptian state and leadership maintain with the Lebanese state and leadership."

He pointed out that the timing of the visit is significant, as directed by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, to convey a message of solidarity and to show full support for the Lebanese state, its sovereignty, the integrity of its territory, and the unity of Lebanese soil.

He emphasized the importance of the visit in listening to the Lebanese perspective regarding the dangers facing Lebanon and the risks of any escalation that could affect the Lebanese state and its brotherly people, reflecting Egypt's commitment to fully engage in Lebanese affairs.

Dr. Badr Abdel Aty arrived at Beirut Airport on the evening of Tuesday, November 25, where he was received by Lebanese Minister of Information Paul Marqus.

During the meeting, the Foreign Minister affirmed Egypt's absolute support for the brotherly Lebanon on various levels and its commitment to assist the Lebanese state amid the challenges facing the country during this critical phase.
