It is noteworthy that Abdel-Aty provided an extensive press briefing during his fourth visit to Lebanon in a year and a half.
The Foreign Minister addressed the constants of Egypt's positions regarding the situations there, confirming that Cairo is making efforts and conducting communications to ensure stability in Lebanon and prevent any escalation or aggression.
During the press conference, Abdel-Aty repeatedly affirmed Egypt's support for the sovereignty and independence of Lebanon and its backing of the initiatives launched by the authorities there, whether related to the exclusivity of arms in the hands of legitimate institutions or the army's readiness to take over the southern areas occupied by Israel.
