Dr. Badr Abdul Aati, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration, and Egyptians Abroad, stated that his current visit to Lebanon is his fourth in a year and a half, reflecting Egypt's level of engagement and interest in Lebanese affairs.

He added during a press conference following his meeting with Lebanese President Joseph Aoun in Beirut today, Wednesday, that Egypt is extremely keen on the security and stability of Lebanon.

The minister noted that this visit came at the direct instruction of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, who made a phone call yesterday with his Lebanese counterpart, during which developments in the region and in Lebanon were reviewed and followed up.

Badr Abdul Aati praised the level of bilateral relations between Egypt and Lebanon, and the momentum of these relations at the presidential, ministerial, and sub-ministerial levels, emphasizing the importance and depth of coordination between the two countries.

He explained that Egypt fully supports the Lebanese president in all the initiatives he adopts, including the recent initiative that involved the Lebanese army's readiness to take over all occupied points in the south, and the Lebanese state's readiness to provide a clear timetable to the quintet committee.

The Foreign Minister stressed the necessity of stopping all violations and breaches committed by Israel against Lebanon, its sovereignty, and the unity and integrity of its territories.

He affirmed Egypt's support for the Lebanese government's decision to confine arms to legitimate institutions and its alignment with the objective and balanced approaches adopted by President Aoun to achieve this goal.

He pointed out that Egypt is making intensive efforts to spare Lebanon any risks or aggressive tendencies against its security and safety, affirming that these efforts will not cease, as Lebanon's security and stability are considered part of Egypt's security and stability.

The minister noted that Egypt is fully concerned with Lebanon's stability, the importance of Israel's complete withdrawal from all Lebanese territories, and the full and non-selective implementation of UN Resolution 1701.

He confirmed that this requires an immediate cessation of Israeli violations of Lebanese sovereignty in all its forms.
