South Korean quarantine authorities issued a warning today, Tuesday, calling for enhanced quarantine measures to combat African swine fever, after the country recorded its sixth case this year.
The South Korean news agency Yonhap reported that the latest case was recorded on a pig farm in Dangjin city in South Chungcheong Province, which has 463 pigs, according to officials from the Central Disaster Management Headquarters.
Following the recording of the latest infection cases, the Central Disaster Management Headquarters issued a nationwide warning at the highest level to prevent further spread of the disease.
