Global Pianist Lang Lang Thanks Egypt: The Dream of Playing in Front of the Pyramids Finally Comes True

Global pianist Lang Lang, one of the most famous names in the world of classical music, will open the first edition of the "Pyramids Echo Festival," held under the slogan "Cradle of Civilizations.. A Meeting of Arts and Cultures," with an exceptional concert that blends lyricism and impressionism (Franz Liszt, Frédéric Chopin, Claude Debussy) and extraordinary technical skill in performing "Grieg's Piano Concerto with Orchestra," featuring the Royal British Orchestra conducted by Ben Palmer.

Lang Lang expressed his happiness to participate in the opening concert, stating: "Thank you, Egypt, for hosting me.. playing under the pyramids is a dream for me, and it is now coming true."

Lang Lang personally requested Egyptian violinist Amira Abu Zahra - who shone at the opening ceremony of the Grand Egyptian Museum - to join him on stage. Abu Zahra will present at the beginning of the second half of the concert the "Sword Dance" from the ballet "Gayaneh" by Aram Khachaturian, arranged by Abour Shouts for violin and orchestra.

Lang Lang also announced that he will present two solo piano arrangements prepared by Schindler; the first is a song composed by Sayed Darwish for solo piano, and the second is a popular Chinese piece, in a delicate artistic gesture that reflects his deep respect for folk music heritage and its role in shaping consciousness, highlighting the ability to blend authenticity with modernity, and folklore with classical academic styles.

Lang Lang promises his audience in Egypt - including those who came from various countries specifically to attend the concert in front of the Giza Pyramids - a magical musical experience that will not be repeated. Meanwhile, the "Pyramids Echo Festival" begins its first edition at the highest global levels, befitting Egypt's cultural and artistic significance, firmly placing it on the map of international classical music festivals.
