Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Participates with the Syrian Community in Celebrating Their Cultural Heritage

His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, along with a group of economic and social figures from the Syrian community in the country, attended the grand public celebration held to allow the members of the Syrian community to celebrate their civilizational and cultural heritage, at the Dubai Exhibition Centre in Expo Dubai.

The celebration, which provided an opportunity to introduce members of all other cultures to aspects of the uniqueness of Syrian heritage, culture, and arts, was attended by a large audience, mostly from the Syrian community, with attendance reaching 25,000 people.

The event, organized by the page "UAE Loves Syria" - a page that shares inspiring content highlighting the success stories and contributions of the Syrian community in the UAE - in collaboration with several members of the Syrian community in the country, served as an occasion to showcase the richness of Syrian culture, heritage, and the diversity of talents within the Syrian community in the UAE. It also aimed to strengthen social relations among members of the Syrian community and highlight the strong and deep ties between the Emirati and Syrian peoples, celebrating the established relations between the two countries and enhancing the bonds of friendship between both sides.

In his speech to the attendees, His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan stated that this brotherly meeting embodies the mutual love between the people of Syria and the people of the UAE, affirming his pride in the strong relations that unite the two brotherly countries and their mutual commitment to keep these relations as a model for fruitful cooperation among brothers in various fields.

He added that the relations between Syria and the UAE are based on a rich history, authentic heritage, and noble human values shared by both peoples, emphasizing that these rooted ties represent a solid foundation for enhancing joint work for the benefit and growth of both peoples and the entire Arab nation.

He noted that this occasion carries a message of love and respect for the Syrian people and affirms the UAE's pride in Syria's rich heritage, its civilization that spans thousands of years, and its historical cities that are among the oldest in the world, in addition to the contributions of the Syrian people to human civilization and its scientific and cultural journey.

His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan honored several pioneering figures and individuals with significant achievements from the Syrian community who have set an example of excellence and success in various fields through their contributions in the UAE.

The celebration featured a diverse agenda of events that included many cultural and artistic activities, musical performances, heritage exhibitions, and showcases of various products famous in Syria, as well as live artistic performances of music and folk dances, live shows for families and children, alongside exhibitions of handicrafts and creative products that reflect the uniqueness of Syrian products, and stalls selling traditional foods and interactive experiences.
