The Cairo Culture Branch presented a number of events as part of the agenda of the General Authority for Cultural Palaces, headed by Major General Khaled El-Labban, within the framework of the Ministry of Culture's programs and the "Correct Your Concepts" initiative offered by the Ministry of Endowments. The initiative aims to correct misconceptions, enhance awareness, and instill positive values that support human development.
The Misr El-Gedida Cultural Palace held an awareness dialogue titled "Islam's Approach to Spreading Optimism and Rejecting Pessimism," during which Sheikh Abdel Fattah Mohamed discussed the concept of optimism in Islam, emphasizing that optimism is a noble human value that contributes to building a positive personality capable of facing challenges, while warning against the negative effects of pessimism on individuals and society.
The Matariya Cultural Palace also organized a discussion session in cooperation with the Hassan Abu Bakr Al-Azhari Institute, presented by Sheikh Abdel Khaleq Salah, an imam and preacher at the Ministry of Endowments. The session addressed several topics related to the phenomenon of begging in the streets, stressing the importance of awareness, work, and social solidarity as real means to confront it.
The events continued under the supervision of the Greater Cairo and Northern Upper Egypt Cultural Region through the Cairo Culture Branch, headed by Dr. Ibtihal Al-Asaly, where a series of awareness meetings were held targeting the promotion of positive values and addressing several social issues.
In this context, the Ain Helwan Cultural Palace held a cultural dialogue led by Sheikh Al-Saeed Massad, an imam and preacher at the Ministry of Endowments, discussing the concept of optimism as synonymous with hope, affirming that hope is life, pessimism is synonymous with despair, and that hope and despair cannot coexist.
The Salam Cultural Palace, as part of the same initiative, held a seminar titled "Ways to Reduce Family Disintegration," delivered by Sheikh Ahmed Desouki Mohamed, a preacher at the Ministry of Endowments, in the presence of students from Salman Al-Farsi Language School. The seminar addressed the concept of family disintegration and its negative effects on children, emphasizing the role of continuous awareness in protecting the family and maintaining its cohesion.
The General Cultural Library in Maadi district also held a dialogue titled "A Cohesive Family is Security for the Individual and Stability for the Nation," presented by Sheikh Misbah Rashwan Qutb, an imam and preacher at the Ministry of Endowments, hosted by Al-Asmaa Secondary School. The dialogue discussed the family's role in providing psychological security and moral support, and its impact on raising children with positive values.
