MP Mohamed Abu Al-Nasr: Sisi's Meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Confirms Depth of Strategic Partnership and Economic and Political Cooperation

MP Mohamed Abdel Aal Abu Al-Nasr, member of the Senate representing the Homeland Defenders Party, affirmed that the important meeting between President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and Sergey Lavrov, the Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation, reflects the depth of the strategic relations between Cairo and Moscow. It embodies the Egyptian political leadership's keenness to strengthen balanced international partnerships based on mutual respect and achieving common interests.

Abu Al-Nasr explained in a statement today that the timing of the meeting carries special significance amid the rapid regional and international developments, reflecting Egypt's pivotal role as a fundamental pillar of stability and balance in its regional and international environment.

He added that President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's remarks about his pride in the course of Egyptian-Russian relations reflect a clear vision to deepen bilateral cooperation in various political, economic, and commercial fields.

He pointed out that the President's emphasis on the importance of joint strategic cooperation projects, foremost among them the establishment of the Russian industrial zone in the Suez Canal Economic Zone and the Dabaa nuclear power plant project, reflects the Egyptian state's determination to localize advanced technology, promote sustainable development efforts, and attract quality investments that serve the national economy.

The Senate member clarified that the President's praise for the convening of the second ministerial conference of the Russia-Africa Partnership Forum, hosted by Egypt, clearly reflects the international community's confidence in Egypt's role towards the African continent.

He said that the President's statements about the importance of this conference in deepening economic and developmental partnership between Russia and African countries represent practical support for the Africa 2063 agenda.
