Taher’s Goal Secures Al Ahly’s Victory Over Ceramica Cleopatra in the League Cup

Al Ahly achieved their first victory in the Egypt Capital Cup tournament against Ceramica Cleopatra with a 1-0 scoreline in the match held at the Arab Contractors Stadium, as part of the second round of the group stage.

Al Ahly started the match with the following lineup:

The attacking attempts continued until Taher Mohamed scored the opening goal in the 35th minute after Omar Kamal Abdel Wahid delivered a precise cross into the penalty area, which Taher met with a strong header that found the back of Ceramica’s net, announcing Al Ahly’s lead.

The play returned to the midfield in the final minutes with attempts and pressure from Al Ahly. In the last minute, Al Ahly missed a clear chance when Mohamed Sherif received a long pass and fired a powerful shot that Bassam deflected for a corner.

The referee blew the whistle to end the first half with Al Ahly leading Ceramica Cleopatra 1-0.
