Madbouly pointed out that Egypt has expressed its readiness to provide all possible forms of support to the Lebanese state through its national companies and accumulated expertise, whether in infrastructure, reconstruction, or exchanging technical expertise, contributing to helping Lebanon overcome current challenges.
The Prime Minister explained that he was honored to meet Dr. Nawaf Salam, Prime Minister of Lebanon, where ways to enhance joint cooperation between the two countries were discussed. He also met with Lebanese President Joseph Aoun and Speaker of the Parliament Nabih Berri as part of coordination and consultation on issues of common interest.
Madbouly affirmed that Egypt will remain a fundamental supporter of Lebanon, based on the brotherly relations and historical ties that unite the two brotherly peoples.
In the same context, the Prime Minister announced an agreement between Egypt and Lebanon to implement a number of joint Egyptian-Lebanese projects between the concerned ministers in both countries, aiming to support the Lebanese state in various fields and contribute to enhancing economic and service stability.
Madbouly stressed that Cairo is always keen to stand by Lebanon, especially in this critical phase, affirming that Lebanon's stability, unity, and territorial integrity represent a fundamental pillar of stability for the entire region. He said: "Lebanon's stability is not an internal matter... it is stability for the whole region."
He explained that the Egyptian state supports all Lebanese authorities in their efforts to fully assert sovereignty over Lebanese lands and borders, pointing to the importance of implementing UN Security Council Resolution 1701 to ensure the cessation of all forms of aggression and to consolidate the sovereignty of the Lebanese state over all its territories.
He confirmed the continuation of close coordination and cooperation between Cairo and Beirut, and Egypt's commitment to supporting the Lebanese people and their national institutions, assisting them in facing current challenges at various levels.
