Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister of Egypt, affirmed the deep fraternal relations between Egypt and Lebanon, and Cairo's keenness to provide comprehensive support to the Lebanese state in various fields during the current phase.

Madbouly stated in remarks to Ahmed Sengab, correspondent for "Cairo News Channel," that during all meetings held with Lebanese officials, he was keen to convey President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's message, which reflects Egypt's fully supportive stance towards Lebanon politically, diplomatically, logistically, and economically. He emphasized Cairo's readiness to provide all forms of support requested by the brothers in Lebanon to help overcome the current challenges.

The Prime Minister added that he discussed with Dr. Nawaf Salam, Prime Minister of Lebanon, ways to enhance bilateral cooperation between the two countries. He pointed out that last month witnessed the holding of the tenth session of the Egyptian-Lebanese Higher Joint Committee in Cairo for the first time in six years, which represents an important step in the course of shared relations.

Madbouly explained that the discussions focused on activating the memorandums of understanding signed during the committee meetings and turning them into executive programs that serve the interests of both countries. He confirmed that Egypt will continue to support Lebanon and its national institutions, based on the strong historical relations between the two peoples and believing in the importance of Lebanon's stability in its Arab and regional environment.

In a related context, the Prime Minister confirmed that the talks with the Lebanese Prime Minister included the participation of Egyptian companies in projects to rebuild southern Lebanon. He pointed out that there is a top priority for cooperation in the energy fields, primarily the gas and electricity sectors, given the significant challenges Lebanon currently faces in these vital sectors.

Madbouly added that he was keen to bring along several concerned ministers within the accompanying delegation, including the Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development, Minister of Industry and Transport, the Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy, and the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, with the aim of discussing energy and reconstruction files and reaching practical solutions to support Lebanon's needs.

The Prime Minister continued that with the cessation of the Israeli aggression on southern Lebanon, clear plans for reconstruction have emerged. He explained that Egypt offered its full readiness to participate in these efforts through its national companies operating in contracting, construction, and building fields, and providing technical and logistical expertise, either independently or in partnership with Lebanese companies.

Madbouly pointed out that there is clear Lebanese appreciation for this role. He confirmed that both sides also agreed to implement joint projects in the fields of gas and electricity, contributing to supporting Lebanon and enhancing its capabilities in these vital sectors.
