CORE SUBJECT
US Peace Plan in Gaza
At the outset, and in any case, President Trump is much better than his predecessor Biden regarding the Gaza war file; he is the one who stopped the war and listened to the voices of Egypt and the Arab and Islamic worlds to put an end to this crazy war.
Despite all that, the Gaza problem remains and even continues to worsen. All that has happened is a decrease in the daily death toll compared to the time of the war. The second difference is that the killing machine is now different; previously, killing was done by the Zionist enemy's fire every minute, but now killing is happening through starvation, cold, and a shortage of medicines and medical supplies.
Amid these tragic conditions, President Trump responded to a question from Al Arabiya and Al Hadath channels, saying: "We have great peace in the Middle East, never before seen... I think it is very strong, actually." The truth is, we do not exactly know which peace he is referring to.
Before that, President Trump presented his peace plan for Gaza and the Palestinian territories, including 20 points that were approved by Israel, the Palestinian resistance, and the Arab and Islamic countries. A Security Council resolution was issued endorsing it, which gave it international and legal legitimacy.
So far, only the first phase of that plan has been implemented, under which the war stopped. Israel has delayed moving to the second phase and is obstructing the flow of humanitarian aid, especially those related to protecting Gaza's residents from severe storms and rains, and adequately providing them with food and medicines.
Israel excels in inventing crises, as it has done for 78 years by refusing the establishment of a Palestinian state and not respecting the dignity of the Palestinian people and their right to a decent and respectable life like all peoples of the world.
From here, the American president must complete his plan and not "succumb" to the pressures of Netanyahu and his gang to sabotage the transition to the next phases of the plan, without procrastination or delay, to pave the way for the peace he talks about.
