Morocco National Team Wins Arab Cup and Earns Highest Financial Prize in Tournament History

The Morocco national team won the Arab Cup title after a strong campaign in the tournament, culminating in reaching the final and securing the championship, thereby earning the largest financial prize in the history of the tournament, marking a remarkable sporting and financial achievement.

The tournament featured the participation of 16 Arab national teams, amid strong competition from the group stages through the knockout rounds, before Morocco and Jordan reached the final after qualifying from the semifinals, which also included the Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates teams in the final four.

According to the prize system adopted in the tournament, the Morocco national team, as the Arab Cup champion, received a financial prize exceeding 7 million dollars, the highest among all participating teams.

In contrast, the Jordanian team, the tournament runner-up, received a financial prize of 4.3 million dollars, while the fourth-place team will receive 2.1 million dollars, and the bronze medalist will receive 2.86 million dollars.

All 16 participating teams were guaranteed a fixed participation reward of 715 thousand dollars each, while the prize amounts increased for teams that advanced from the group stage, with each qualified team receiving 1.07 million dollars.

The high financial value of the prizes reflects the growing interest in the Arab Cup, which has become an important competitive platform for Arab national teams, both technically and financially, as well as playing a role in enhancing the audience and media presence of Arab football.

The organizing committee of the Arab Cup Qatar 2025 raised the prize money for the current edition of the tournament to 36.5 million dollars, the highest in its history.

The prize money value places the tournament in strong competition with the most lucrative official continental tournaments of the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) worldwide, as the prize money exceeds that of the continental tournaments of the two continents where all Arab countries are located, Asia and Africa.
