This is Morocco’s second Arab Cup title after 2012, while the "Nashama" (Jordanian team) were unable to win their first title in their first final appearance.
Morocco’s goals were scored by Oussama Tannane with a shot from about 60 meters early in the match in the 4th minute, and substitute Abderrazak Hamdallah (88th and 100th minutes). Jordan’s goals were scored by Ali Alwan (48th and 68th minutes from a penalty kick). Moroccan football continued its successes across various age groups after the team achieved a historic accomplishment in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar as the first African and Arab team to reach the semifinals. The pace of successes in Moroccan football has accelerated.
This year, Morocco qualified for the 2026 World Cup, won the U-20 World Cup in Chile, the African Nations Championship, and the U-17 Championship, and capped the year with the Arab Cup title, noting that the senior national team is preparing to participate in the Africa Cup of Nations on home soil this month.
