Moulay Hassan Stadium .. A Civilizational Masterpiece

Moulay Hassan Stadium in Rabat is one of the most prominent architectural sports masterpieces embodying modernity in the Kingdom, after undergoing a comprehensive rehabilitation and renovation process in 2025, according to the latest standards of the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) and the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

This stadium enhances the sports infrastructure network in the capital, which is preparing to host the Africa Cup of Nations football matches from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026; through an advanced urban space that combines Moroccan authenticity with the spirit of contemporary engineering innovation.

The architectural character of Moulay Hassan Stadium draws from the spirit of Moroccan architectural heritage, through a design vision that relies on the use of local materials; which has given the facility a character that combines authenticity and modernity, making it a landmark befitting the image of modern Morocco and its ancient civilization.

The rehabilitation process provided the stadium with advanced technical and logistical specifications, qualifying it to host various national, continental, and international competitions, including essential and secondary facilities that adhere to safety standards and meet the needs of spectators, clubs, and media delegations.

The stadium's seating capacity is 21,791 seats distributed among various categories; including 192 seats for very VIPs, 542 seats for VIPs, 275 seats in the hospitality box, 79 official seats, in addition to 20,367 seats allocated for the general public, 258 seats for the media, and 68 seats for persons with disabilities; reflecting a commitment to ensuring diversity and smooth access to its facilities.

The playing field is equipped with hybrid grass covering a total area of 68,296 square meters. The stadium also features an advanced new-generation LED lighting system, three LED electronic strips, and two giant screens to display match atmospheres and various visual content.

Regarding safety and surveillance, the stadium is equipped with 456 surveillance cameras covering all facilities. It also has four locker rooms, a press conference hall accommodating 112 people with a special platform of five positions; making it an ideal space to host media activities accompanying the matches.

The stadium includes an annexed infrastructure comprising a private parking lot for very VIPs with a capacity of 39 spaces, two training halls, and a medical unit (field hospital) equipped for rapid interventions, enhancing the facility's readiness to host major sporting events under the best conditions.

After the comprehensive rehabilitation and renovation in 2025, Moulay Hassan Stadium represents a model of the new generation of Moroccan stadiums and is preparing to host the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations competitions.
