Screenwriter Sayed Fouad: Nile Cinema is the Leading Festival Channel in Egypt and the Region

Screenwriter Sayed Fouad, head of Nile Cinema channel, confirmed that the channel has become the leading film festival channel in Egypt and the Arab region, after recording a remarkable and intensive presence at major film festivals. He pointed out the channel's high professionalism in broadcasting these cinematic events, whether live or through special programs and messages.

In an exclusive statement to "Al-Shorouk," Sayed Fouad said that Nile Cinema has witnessed a period of active and distinguished work recently, having provided exclusive coverage of several important film festivals, including the 7th edition of the Cairo Short Film Festival, for which a dedicated team was assigned, including directors Doaa Ahmed and Mona Ahmed, and producers Mona Omari and Mahmoud Abboud.

He also highlighted the channel's notable presence at the first edition of the Port Said Film Festival, where it broadcast the opening and closing ceremonies live, directed by Mona Ahmed and Eman El Sharkawy, produced by Mona Omari, and presented by media personality Rabab Al-Sharif.

He added that the channel was also present at the 41st Alexandria International Film Festival, broadcasting the opening and closing ceremonies live, directed by Doaa Ahmed, produced by Sayed Shaaban, and presented by Rabab Al-Sharif.

Fouad explained that continuing Nile Cinema's commitment to being present at film festival venues and events, the channel's team, led by director Karim Samir, media presenter Rabab Al-Sharif, and producers Sayed Shaaban and Mona Omari, followed the events of the El Gouna International Film Festival, alongside coverage of the second edition of the Fayoum Environmental Cinema Festival, directed by Tharwat Mustafa.

The head of Nile Cinema emphasized the channel's external activity beyond borders, noting the live broadcast of the opening ceremony of the Carthage International Film Festival.

He also mentioned the participation of a Nile Cinema delegation in Morocco, consisting of director Mahmoud Amara and media personality Marwa El-Sayed, to cover the events of the International Film Festival in the Moroccan city of Oujda.
