There is almost a popular and media consensus in the Arab world that the Arab Cup football tournament, held this month in the State of Qatar, has formed an ideal opportunity for acquaintance, convergence, and understanding, and even to strengthen the bonds of affection and love among the peoples of the Arab nations whose national teams participate in the tournament.
The tournament and its events provided a suitable arena for fans from 16 Arab countries whose teams participated in the tournament, out of 22 countries that took part in the preliminary rounds, to get closer to their brothers and sisters in Arabism from supporters of other participating Arab national teams. These fans were either Arabs originally residing in Qatar due to work, study, or other reasons, or they came from their countries to Doha specifically to attend the tournament events, support their teams, and cheer them on.
