The Taxes and Customs Committee at the Egyptian Federation of Industries, chaired by Mohamed El-Bahy, held an extensive meeting attended by a large number of representatives from government agencies to discuss a number of problems and challenges facing manufacturers within the customs system, and to explore mechanisms to address them and remove obstacles hindering production and export movement.
During the meeting, the committee reviewed a range of issues related to companies operating in the ready-made garments, cables, and telecommunications sectors, alongside complaints submitted by companies in the plastics, porcelain, and glass industries. The floor was opened for discussion and responses to all inquiries, with an agreement to study appropriate solutions for each case in coordination with the relevant authorities.
