It has contributed to the transmission of knowledge, the development of sciences and philosophy, and the building of a cultural system that has influenced the world. It has also played a pivotal role in documenting history, promoting human values, enriching human thought, and building bridges of cultural exchange between nations."
He added, "Since the establishment of the Mohammed bin Rashid Library, we have placed enabling the Arabic language at the forefront of our priorities and strategies by preserving Arabic literature, culture, and heritage, and enhancing the presence of the Arabic language in various fields of knowledge and arts. This is achieved by encouraging writers, authors, and creatives to enrich intellectual production in Arabic and translate it."
He continued, "We have also been keen to launch several inspiring initiatives to realize this vision, including the institutional arm for publishing and translation from various global languages into Arabic, and the 'World in Your Language' initiative that allows visitors to read and listen to books in several global languages including Arabic, alongside organizing the Mohammed bin Rashid Arabic Language Award, which supports the sustainability of the Arabic heritage and ensures the continuity of its cultural and intellectual role in the present and future of the nation."
He called for practical support for the language through developing its teaching to keep pace with the era and employing it in artificial intelligence and modern technologies to ensure its sustainability as a contemporary and effective language.
