Israeli Attacks and Raids in the West Bank
The Israeli occupation army shot a young Palestinian and arrested another on Wednesday evening during raids targeting several areas in the occupied West Bank.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society stated in a statement that its teams transported a live bullet injury to the leg in the Al-Naqqar neighborhood in the city of Qalqilya, northern West Bank.
Also in the northern West Bank, Voice of Palestine Radio (governmental) reported that the occupation army fired live bullets intensively as residents of the Nour Shams camp in the city of Tulkarm tried to remove their belongings from it.
Earlier on Wednesday, the army allowed Palestinians to enter the camp for a few hours to collect their belongings before demolishing 25 residential buildings under the "security pretext."
Palestinian residents in the camp said the occupation turned their camp and homes into ruins due to extensive bulldozing and destruction operations.
Since January 21, the Israeli army has continued its aggression in the northern West Bank, starting with the Jenin camp, then moving to the Tulkarm and Nour Shams camps, resulting in the destruction of thousands of homes and the displacement of more than 50,000 people, according to official Palestinian figures.
Regarding the raids, an Al Jazeera correspondent reported that the occupation army raided several Palestinian villages and towns in the central West Bank, including the villages of Deir Jarir and Silwad northeast of Ramallah city, and Kafr Malik east of the city.
The occupation forces also raided the town of Ya'bad southwest of Jenin and the village of Surra west of Nablus.
The Palestinian News Agency (WAFA) reported that the occupation arrested a young Palestinian and confiscated his vehicle after raiding his home in the Al-Shawawra area east of Bethlehem city.
Since the start of the extermination war in the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, the Israeli army and settlers have intensified their crimes in the West Bank, including Jerusalem, resulting in the martyrdom of about 1,100 Palestinians, injuries to around 11,000, and the arrest of more than 21,000.
