He also expressed Egypt's full support for the peace agreement signed in Washington in December 2025, emphasizing that it represents a very important step towards ending tension and enhancing security and stability in the Great Lakes region.
President Sisi pointed to Egypt’s readiness to exert every possible effort, including providing the necessary forums for the concerned parties, to support the conflict resolution process.
Meanwhile, the Congolese President expressed his appreciation for Egypt’s support for peace and stability efforts in his country and the region. The two presidents agreed on the necessity to intensify efforts to overcome any obstacles that may face the implementation of peace agreements.
