Full Support for Mohamed Salah within the Egypt National Team

Days before the start of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, Egyptian star Mohamed Salah is receiving clear and full support within his national team camp, both from the coaching staff and his teammates, sending a message that confirms his status within the "Pharaohs" during an important phase leading up to the continental tournament.

The Egyptian national team is preparing to compete in the tournament in Group B, which includes Angola, South Africa, and Zimbabwe. The group stage matches will be held in the city of Agadir, amid great ambitions to end years of waiting and reclaim the title that has been absent since 2010.

In recent days, there has been notable interaction from the Egyptian players regarding their captain's situation, amid ongoing debate about his future with Liverpool and his sitting on the bench in some recent matches. More than one player has openly expressed full confidence in Salah, affirming his leadership role on and off the pitch and his ability to make a difference in crucial moments.

Ahmed Hassan "Koka" wrote on his social media accounts: "Players like him should not be benched... Mohamed Salah is a captain and a legend for the club and the national team, and what he is going through is temporary, what remains is his greatness," a message of support that received wide interaction among fans.

Meanwhile, Hossam Hassan, the national team coach, made a point of sending a direct message after posting a photo with Salah and commenting: "Always a symbol of determination and strength," clearly indicating the technical and moral confidence in the "Pharaohs" captain before the kickoff.

Ahmed "Zizo" also described Salah as "the greatest legend in Liverpool's history," while goalkeeper Mohamed Sobhi confirmed that the national team captain remains "always the best," reflecting the unity within the camp around Egypt's top football star.

Salah, 33 years old, is participating in the Africa Cup of Nations for the fifth time in his career, having experienced repeated disappointments in previous editions, most notably losing the finals in 2017 against Cameroon and in 2022 against Senegal, in addition to early exits in the 2019 and 2023 editions due to injury.

Despite these difficult moments, the team captain does not hide his belief in the "Pharaohs'" ability to win the title, having previously stated: "I believe we will lift the cup before I retire... Playing for Egypt is an incomparable feeling."

The Egyptian team relies on a strong offensive lineup in the tournament, led by Salah, alongside Omar Marmoush, Mostafa Mohamed, Mahmoud Hassan "Trezeguet," and Zizo, within a group considered one of the toughest in the tournament, as it is the only group that includes two teams already qualified for the 2026 World Cup, Egypt and South Africa.
